Pursuits is a vital, database-driven resource for law enforcement agencies empowering command staff and supervisors to make better pursuit-related decisions based on hard data.

About Pursuits

Pursuits is a secure, online database that standardizes pursuit reporting across 30 data fields including speed, suspect information, and termination reason, allowing participating agencies to identify trends on the local, state, or national level. Command staff can record and analyze data over time and compare it to national figures, trends, and jurisdiction parameters.

LogIn, Inc. – producer of IACP Net and Pursuits – has published the third volume of its comprehensive report that analyzes pursuit data and is immediately available exclusively to IACP Net and Pursuits members. "Pursuits: Data that Drives Safety, 2013 Edition" provides a thorough analysis of more than 2,000 pursuit records entered into Pursuits, LogIn's web-based pursuit tracking tool, from 2011 and 2012. Data analyzed surrounding each pursuit includes: initial violation, environmental conditions, termination, officer and suspect information, injuries and fatalities, property damage, and more.

The full report is available to agencies participating in Pursuits®. The Executive Summary can be viewed here.
